Mixed thoughts on this one (20 November 2024)
I have mixed thoughts on this one - not sure if I am disappointed or not. This is my review of the product. The service from Vape Club was excellent as always.
The product was nicely packaged with instructions and a small USB C Charging cable. As indicated in the product description, a battery is not supplied but I had a spare 21700 battery which I used.
The product is larger than I expected and is made if translucent hard plastic. It looks cheap and you can see the battery through the plastic. The battery "cover" is just a small rectangle of plastic on the side of the unit which is held on by a couple of magnets. For some reason I cannot understand, there is another "cover" on the opposite side which is also held on by a couple of magnets. Once this is removed, it doesn't cover anything that is serviceable. I have doubts that this box mod will withstand a drop, and I guess there is a good chance that the "covers" could easily be lost or broken. The solution to this would be to purchase some sort of silicone protective cover - but despite searching online for one, there doesn't seem to be one available for this model.
The actual Mod is square and is not that comfortable to hold.
The screen is OK but could display the information in a bigger text size
Operation wise, it works well so far. I am using it at 14 watts paired with an Aspire Nautilus coil. The wattage is easy to adjust using the wheel.
This power setting can be locked, which is good as I consider this to be an essential feature. When you press the fire button, the mod lights up around the fire button which to me seems like a bit of a gimmick, but It's not an issue, and I guess some people might like this feature.
The Mod has a DIY mode which I have not used yet but there is no detail in the instructions about how to use it - just a note about how to switch the mode on or off.
In conclusion, This Mod is OK but I question how long it will last. I wouldn't buy another one. I will probably go for something like the Vaporesso Armour S.
