Kiwi Vape Preview
When you think of the phrase “Kiwi vape”, kiwi e-liquids and disposables probably spring to mind. But here’s something you might not have thought of – enter Kiwi Vapor, an innovative vape manufacturer from Italy.
Now, we’re not sure whether the Kiwi brand is named after the fuzzy tropical fruit or the fuzzy flightless bird, but we do know that they have a reputation for producing only the highest quality products. Hot on the heels of the Kiwi Go disposable vapes comes the Kiwi One vape pen: a sophisticated, simple refillable kit with a clean and classic design.
We’re actually reviewing two vape kits today – as well as the Kiwi One vape pen, you can also get your hands on the Kiwi Starter Kit, which includes a 1450mAh magnetic powerbank.
Both versions sport easy-to-refill pods with built-in coils, and an elegant soft-touch finish. The Kiwi kit claims to be the ideal device for smokers for a seamless switch to vaping. Can it match these lofty claims? Read on to find out!

Who Is The Kiwi Vape For?
The Kiwi pen is ideal if you’re on the hunt for an easy-to-use vape with a premium feel. Low-maintenance, prefilled pods and a buttonless design help to keep things simple and this means whether you’re taking your first steps in switching to vaping (well done!) or an old hand just looking for a convenient everyday device, it’s a great option.
Plus, your kit comes complete with one plastic drip tip and one cotton drip tip – the latter of which has a unique soft texture that’s designed to emulate the feel of a cigarette between the lips. The combination of these cotton tips, plus the discreet level of vapour the device produces, leads to a vape that will feel immediately familiar to smokers and MTL vapers.
How Does The Kiwi Pen Look And Feel?
The Kiwi vape pen has an elegant, understated design. The solid-colour device is finished with a silky, soft-touch material that’s comfortable to hold. On one side, you’ll find the Kiwi “K” logo, which doubles as a subtle LED indicator. On the other side, you’ll find three magnetic pins which are used to attach your pen to the Kiwi powerbank. On the base is the USB-C charging port. It’s good to know that the base of the pen is flat, so it can be stood up.
The Kiwi powerbank, which you’ll receive if you opt for the full Kiwi Starter Kit, features the same velvety finish as the vape pen. On the side, you’ll find the charging port, three battery indicator lights, and a small button which can be used to activate the battery indicator lights or to turn the power bank on and off.
How Easy Is It To Use The Kiwi?
The Kiwi vape kit is really simple to use, even if you’re a complete beginner. Refilling is quick and easy. Plus, since the coils are built into the Kiwi pods, when one coil is finished you can simply replace the entire pod.
How Do I Look After My Kiwi Vape?
Maintaining your Kiwi kit could hardly be simpler. All you’ll need to do is keep your device charged and replace the pods occasionally.
The Battery
Your Kiwi pen can be recharged using the included USB-C cable. If you’ve sprung for the Kiwi Starter kit over the Kiwi Pen kit, you can also recharge your vape using your Kiwi powerbank.
The Pods
Kiwi pods feature built-in coils, which means maintenance is easy. The coils will need to be replaced once the flavour starts to fade or you experience a burnt taste – when this happens, just replace the whole pod.
Our Expert Opinion About The Kiwi Kit
I’m impressed with the Kiwi kit, but enough about what I think – let’s catch up with the rest of the review team and find out what they have to say.
JoshThe Vaping Specialist
I’m really impressed by the Kiwi pen’s high build quality. It feels well-constructed and you can tell that the manufacturers have put a lot of thought into its design. It charges quickly, is easy to refill, and requires little maintenance – so, it checks all the boxes if you’re looking for a simple MTL kit, whether you’re a new vaper or a seasoned expert. Plus, you have the flexibility to choose between the smaller, more discreet Kiwi One pen or the bigger but longer-lasting Kiwi starter kit.
HugoThe Flavour Expert
This device looks and feels impressive, but what surprised me the most is how good its flavour production is. The mesh design of the built-in coils has a large surface area, which heats e-liquid faster and more evenly – meaning, you’ll experience a stronger taste from your vape juice. Pair it up with a disposable-inspired e-liquid, like something from the Elfliq or Maryliq ranges, and the Kiwi can easily match the bold flavour you’d expect from a disposable vape.
Should You Buy The Kiwi Vape Pen?
If you’re looking for a vape kit that’s reliable and easy to use, yet high quality and elegant in an understated way, I couldn’t recommend the Kiwi device highly enough. For a longer battery life, go for the Kiwi starter kit, which comes equipped with the Kiwi powerbank. If you’re only interested in the vape pen itself, opt for the Kiwi One kit instead.
Kiwi Kit Frequently Asked Questions
Got some burning questions about the Kiwi vape? We’ve done plenty of research and testing to discovered the answers to the most frequently asked questions:
-
In our testing, we discovered that Kiwi vape pods tend to last for 5 - 10 days. You’ll find your pods last longer if you go for simpler, less sweet-tasting e-liquids, as heavy flavourings degrade the built-in coils faster. You’ll know you need to change your pod if you find that the flavour has faded or if you detect a burnt taste.
-
For best results, stick with e-liquid that features a 50% VG concentration. You can sort and filter our e-liquid page by VG concentration, flavour, nicotine strength and more, so you’ll easily be able to find your next favourite. Or, check out our most popular brands, including Large Salts, Elfliq, Doozy, and Riot.
-
The Kiwi pen can’t be switched on or off – to use it, just inhale on the mouthpiece. The Kiwi power bank can be turned on by clicking its button five times. Once you’ve inserted your pen, it will be charged by the power bank’s built-in battery.
-
The Kiwi pen’s built-in 400mAh battery should last most vapers a full day, but if it runs low, it can be quickly recharged using the included USB-C cable or via the Kiwi magnetic power bank.
-
When you plug in your Kiwi pen, the device will vibrate and the “K”-shaped battery indicator will flash three times before staying lit in a solid colour. If the light is red, that means the battery charge level is at 20% or below. If the light is white, the battery is more than 20% charged.
-
When your battery charge level dips below 20%, the LED light will blink in red ten times. Additionally, when you insert a pod, the light will flash once in white to let you know the pod has connected successfully. When you remove a pod, the light will flash once in red.
-
The Kiwi vape pen uses haptic feedback to convey important information since it doesn’t have a screen. It’ll vibrate when you insert a pod, when you begin charging it and when you’ve taken 20 puffs over the course of ten minutes.
-
The Kiwi vape pen costs £21.99, and it includes one pod. Let’s assume you use one new pod a week – to cover a four-week period, you’ll need an extra pack of three pods at £12.95. Assuming you vape 2-4ml of e-liquid per day, you’ll need between 56-112ml to see you through a four-week period. You’ll spend around £20-48 on e-liquid, depending on how many bottles you buy, if you shop from our popular 3 for £10 or 3 for £12 multi-buys – or even less if you buy from our clearance vape juice section.
In total, you can expect to spend roughly £55-£83 in your first four weeks, and that includes buying the kit to begin with – you’ll spend less, later, as you won’t need to repurchase the kit every month. To compare, smoking 10 cigarettes per day will set you back £120-£230 during the same period! So, a ten-a-day smoker could save up to £175 every four weeks. Which Vapes Are Similar To The Kiwi Kit?
If the Kiwi One sounds like the sort of kit you’re after but doesn’t quite tick all the boxes, we recommend you check out our full range of vape pens. However, they don’t come with a magnetic power bank – Kiwi is pretty unique in that regard!
