Very subtle flavour (28 August 2024)
Got one of those despite the price point just to try it as I have a 50/50 vape and wanted something new. This is an understated juice, there's a throat hit of blood orange and then an exhale of cream/vanilla, it's really nice but I'm not sure I'd want it all day. Works for me as an after dinner vape, it's not too strong, feels kind of relaxing to vape it. Worth noting that the price for 100ml at 0mg nicotine is currently less than 3 times the price of a 10mg bottle. You do the maths!

Not a great exoerience (01 March 2024)
I love orange flavoured vapes and have tried quite a few. This one is a poor relation.
I was so looking forward to trying it. It arrived and I eagerly added my nic shots. Into my pod it goes, and............ not great at all.
It is far too vanilla heavy. There is a cream element to it as well, which reminded me of cookie dough too, and unfortunately just a very, very small hint of orange.
Personally I wouldn't recommend to anyone who's after a lovely orange hit. Seriously Pod Fill Orange and Pineapple is far better.

Queenside (18 September 2023)
So the flavour is there albeit faint. The orange and cream flavours are ok but it’s just not punchy enough. A shame as five pawns juices are a favourite of mine

What makes queenside so special (30 September 2020)
Hello
I do not know why this product has received such a bad review.
This is one of the best Five Pawns you can find. the other after this is symmetry six. Of course the taste in this product is not exactly what it says it is in it but what I can say about this product is that it is easily worth the purchase. the taste is not all queenside is Smooth to smoke and you feel a bit of Vanilla taste as if you were eating a piece of a small cake. Which makes queenside so special.

Bluured Orange let down (29 August 2019)
Not so much a case of Blood Orange but Blurred Orange. Cant make out any Orange or Vanilla & scratching my head to why there's no real flavour coming through no matter what I vape it on. Another Five Pawns let down & i definitely won't be buying any more, three flavours & three let downs which is unusual for State side made juice. People often say to steep it but from the point of manufacture to the point of sale it should have plenty of time to steep. It gets made, is transported, sits about in a warehouse on shelves which is plenty of time to steep. For the price it's a total let down. whether the flavour base is any better, i'm not sure but won't be buying any to find out !

Disappointing (22 April 2019)
I'm a big fan of Five Pawns' products, especially Black Flag Risen, Symmetry Six, Bowden's Mate and Grandmaster, and I have tried all of the range. This is the only real disappointment. It's just such a weak flavour. I bought it a while ago, so it has been steeping for a long time, and I still can't taste it. I can occassionally pick up a very faint smell from the bottle, and I think it is a good flavour, as I expect from this company, but I am surprised at how weak it is. Perhaps it is a bad batch.

Very disappointing (04 November 2018)
I'm usually a big fan of Five Pawns juices but this has been my first major let down.
I get no flavour whatsoever. Neither blood orange or vanilla. Nothing in fact. I have also given it a fair chance by seeping it over the last two weeks and trying it in 3 different tanks. One mtl and 2 dtl tanks and with fresh coils. Absolutely no flavour at all. I also got my better half to try it and she couldn't taste anything either.
I'm hopefully getting a Drop RDA for my birthday next month so will give what's left of the 10ml bottle a try on that.
It's a shame because Five Pawn's 'Castle Long' and 'Black Flag Risen Enriched' are two of my top juices.
If there is a major change in flavour when I try it on my RDA I will add a revised review later.

Castling long . . . (20 December 2017)
Great mtl juice, punchy throat hit with the distinct flavours exactly as described. An extremely pleasurable vape with your favourite evening tipple.
Not what I would consider an all day vape but would be a recommendation for new vapers making the transition from cigarettes to a vapour as it has that satisfying smoker hit.
An 'adult' flavour with the blood orange striking on the inhale at the back of the throat then the vanilla flows on the exhale. Sweet citrus first, not sour then the creamy note comes in. The exhaled vapour leaves the vanilla aroma around you.
You have made the decision to pay the extra for this juice so use new coils and setup your device to extract the most and you will get what Five Pawns want you to experience.
Smok Majesty, Aspire Nautilus 2, 1.8 ohm @ 14w was my setup for this.

Over priced and not even close to the description (14 September 2016)
I too bought into the hype, payed through the nose for just about the only juice in my entire history that is still sitting nearly full on my desk behind. I was hoping it may get better so I left it and after trying it in my OBS tank, then put it in my dripper hoping I would get the vanilla and orange flavour to come through. No deal Noel! All I get is a strong tobacco taste @ 3mg nicotine and its savagely throaty. Severely disappointed.

Very nice indeed (24 April 2016)
This is an amazing juice. A complex mix of slightly bitter orange and creamy vanilla. A very balanced vape I can see why it's so expensive and quite likely the classiest juice I've ever tried. Too expensive for all day vaping but good for a treat. The colour was a beautiful dark Amber and smelt amazing. The bonus for me was it didn't need steeping. It has now taken over from Orange dream (Jimmy the juice man) for best orange vape but not one I can afford all the time. This juice is very special and unlike most orange vapes not candy like at all just really authentic. The 50/50 mix means it vapes well in my toptank and the cloud produced is quite big for such a blend. The throat hit is medium (6mg) and a very very enjoyable experience. Shame about the price though. I will probably buy again but not regularly as its too expensive even though it does taste beautiful. Gorgeous packaging too with clear use by dates. Very clearly blood orange, vanilla and in my opinion a touch of whiskey on exhale.

Smooth (07 January 2016)
I'm not usually into writing reviews, but felt this deserved the effort. It is amazing, expensive yes, but if you want subtlety and a throat hit at the same time this will do it for you. As with all Five Pawns juice it does need steeping for a couple of days. I wouldn't normally go for a fruit flavour as I'm a menthol fan and just two months into giving up 20 menthol cigs a day, I was pondering a proper smoke, just for old times sake. But this did for me, my favourite by far.

Queenside - steep it (23 October 2015)
Touch suspicious I'd fallen for the marketing/packaging. First tank tasted actually unpleasant. Steeped and it got better. Then in warm tank with a good battery pretty brilliant. I suspect more watts would help. My 30w rather worn.
Taste when firing properly is very smooth and untypically representative of its description with enough smoke to blot out the ads.

Great vape, delicate flavour (11 October 2015)
Really nice juice, sweet with a large vanilla note with complex citrus undertones. I only paid £14 and at that price its a steal, not sure if I'd pay over £20 for it though.
Would recommend this juice highly

Puzzled (29 September 2015)
Perhaps I got a bad batch, but I am very disappointed with this. At first, I thought my coil had fried, so I changed it for a brand new one. Then I thought I'd fried that one too, so I used my dripper and even though I started it at a very low wattage, all I get is a chalky, nasty burnt taste. No orange at all, no French vanilla.
After reading all the rave reviews, I can only think I must have got a bad batch.

Yum (28 August 2015)
I can't add anything more positive that hasn't already been said.
This is very special on it's own. But, also mixes 'very' well with NET tobacco juices.
Try it !!!!

Bought into the hype (06 August 2015)
Overated and over priced in my opinion. Thus has to be the single most sickeningly sweet juice I have ever tried. Never again.

Quite nice (16 March 2015)
Tastes like vanilla ice cream with an orange swirl, with a bit of orange zest bitterness, too. A very smooth and flavorful vape but still subtle enough not to overpower my taste buds. Awesome packaging, too, even though maybe a bit unnecessary. This juice has convinced me that Five Pawns is truly a quality brand, albeit pricey - a fact that does lower my score for them to 8 instead of a 9.

Complex, Subtle and Sophisticated. (15 January 2015)
As I'm sure you all know, this juice comes from Five Pawns and represents just about the most expensive product that you can vape. But is it worth it? Does it live up to the hype?
Rig wise, I vaped this in a mini nautilus on an istick from 5 watts right up to 15 watts with air flow at all settings. Personally, I settled on 13 - 14 watts on the max or second to max airflow hole, but it is worth experimenting as the flavours do subtly change with different watts.
The juice, although only a 50 50 blend gives of a nice amount of vape and whilst not a heavy cloud chucker, it does more than adequately give enough vapour to satisfy the needs of the ex-smoker. At 18mg strength, it gives quite a bit of throat hit and if I was going to make it my daily vape, I think I would switch down to 12mg.
Blood Orange, Vanilla and Cream are a perfect description of the overall flavours and these come through along with a hint of sugar/caramel sweetness. Whilst this may seem a simple mix of three flavours, the true beauty of this juice is the way in which these flavours blend and provide a surprisingly complex yet subtle product overall.
The orange seems to be strongest on the inhale before smoothly fading away into a creamy exhale. It's not a massively citrus taste and it brings to mind blood oranges and pink grapefruit, fruity with a slight bitter twang to it. It doesn't taste fake, artificial or overpowering.
The cream seems to really pop on the exhale, but never in an overpowering or smothering way, it's just a gentle background against which the other flavours can shine.
Personally I don't get much vanilla, and it seems to be the weakest of the three main flavours, but it is there and it seems to blend in so well with the other flavours to that it almost disappears.
This isn't a sweet juice by any means, but there is enough sweetness to balance out the rest of the flavours without becoming cloying.
Overall, I would have to say that Five Pawns have impressed me with their masterful ability to blend flavours and create a juice where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Would I recommend it or try it again? Certainly, but this juice isn't for those times when we want a massive blast of citrus or to wrap our taste buds in sickly creamy sweetness. This juice is to relax with and contemplate the depth of flavour and revel in its complex yet subtle sophistication.
