Photographer & Image Processor - VapeClub
About The Job
Due to significant and increased growth across the last 12 months, Vape Club is looking to recruit a new photographer. You’ll join and work alongside our Media Team, with plenty of opportunity for personal development, while gaining valuable insight into how e-commerce operates and how to succeed in this space.
The ideal candidate has proven success in articulating a concept, sourcing inspiration, shooting, editing, and retouching photos. You will report directly to the Creative Director and be a collaborative team member of the Media Team.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has demonstrable experience in photography (ideally product photography)
- Is highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
- Has exceptional knowledge of studio lighting and retouching
- Has total proficiency in all aspects of camera setup and operation
- Is proficient in composition, including background selection and subject positioning
- Has the ability to determine lighting requirements for all shots
- Understands the concept of narrative when it comes to photos and its impact on the customer journey
- Has excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Can multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
- Has the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Has critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Has the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
- Has impeccable time management skills
Responsibilities
Within this role you will be responsible for:
- Photographing all incoming products
- Editing photos, and uploading them via our Content Management System
- Upkeep of in-house photography suite
- Follow and create processes related to photography best practice
- Ensuring all website images are up to date and performing regular audits
- Assistance in creation of media kits for clients
- Occasional creation of banners for use on various platforms
- Creating category / brand index images for landing pages
- Archiving of all photo projects on the company's shared file drive
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
Working Hours
- 9:00 AM - 17:30 PM Monday to Friday.
- Occasional weekend work may be required (at management’s request).
